Wow that is messed up.

Interesting to read this. One of my sons, born and raised in Kagoshima who speaks Japanese like a native, was refused a bilingual job he had applied for. They did not test his Japanese. I can't help but think the recruiter looked at his name and saw no JLPT on his resume, and figured he didn't speak Japanese.

Wow that is messed up. I am sure that your son will find a better company! Especially since he can speak both English and Japanese.
I hope that passing JLPT will help your son! I wish him luck in his next interview.
