Sumo Ramen

Everything in Japan is SMALL…or so I thought.

I have never struggled with portion sizes in Japan until I went to Jiro Ramen.

Just to give you an idea of how much food they give you, I went to an all you can eat restaurant with no time limit and stayed there for 3 hours to get full.

Over here I almost couldn’t even finish my meal.

Jiro Ramen always has a line no matter where you go.

Many business men and even sumo wrestlers go here to eat.

The reason for this is not just because of the size of the ramen but it is super cheap.

You can get a regular meal for only 600 yen ($6) and double charsui for 700 yen ($7).

CHARACTERISTICS

The first time I went here I made the mistake of ordering double charsui. (double the amount of meat)

I under estimated the amount of food at this restaurant.

The ramen served here is tonkotsu (pork bone) which is my favorite type of ramen.

However, it does not taste the same as Ichiran.
