Riding my Electric Skateboard in Japan

Warning: At the bottom of the article there is a bloody photo of my accident when I fell down from the skateboard going top speed

I bought my first electric skateboard [boosted board] from Hawaii a little over 1 year ago before the coronavirus epidemic and when it was safe to travel. However, I knew that there was a risk that I might not be able to bring it back to Japan. There was a chance that the airport in Hawaii might take away my skateboard when I tried to board the plane. There was also the risk that I might get stopped in Japan after getting off of the plane. However, my desire to ride this in Japan was far greater than how much I was going to risk.

Boosted Board Mini X

I bought a Boosted Mini X because I didn’t want a big board to travel around Japan. Something some what light and slim. A week before going on the plane, I figured it might be a good idea to confirm with the airport before boarding to see if I can bring my electric skateboard. I asked and they replied with, yes I can. (Hawaiian Airlines) I highly recommend you to do this because I actually went to board and they said that I am unable to bring it on the airplane because of the strong battery.
