One Person Yakiniku Trending In Japan (Yakiniku Like)

Yakiniku is not Japanese food but actually Korean food. Yakiniku Like has been becoming popular due to corona virus and their good cost performance. For those who don’t know what is Yakiniku, it is when you cook your own meat and you usually eat your cooked food with the sauces that they provide. If you go to very traditional Korean Yakiniku restaurants, they will give you big raw vegetable leaves (of course washed). You would then wrap your cooked meat around these leaves, dip it into your sauce, and then feast! It’s almost like a burger except without the bun.

The outside of the restaurant looks like this (Akihabara)

Yakiniku Like promoted their restaurant by saying that it is Hitori Yakiniku. I wondered what is Hitori Yakiniku (one person Yakiniku) but after trying it, it is now one of my favorite restaurants in Japan. The reason why this restaurant just like Ichiran has done so well during covid 19 is because you have your own booth. It isn’t as well protected as you can see from the above photo as Ichiran but you do not have to speak to anybody when you are here. You order from an ipad so you have very little communication with the staff. If you have read my other article, I recommend Ichiran (Tonkotsu Ramen) to anybody who goes to Japan…
