How To Choose A Buffet At Chinatown In Japan
Japan has three Chinatown’s which are located in Nagasaki, Kobe, and Yokohama. Yokohama is the location which is closest to Tokyo.
This Chinatown is located in Motomachi, Yokohama which is about an hour away from Shinjuku and Shibuya. It will cost you around 450–700 yen (4–7 dollars) one way so you will be paying 10 dollars round trip which is equivalent to one buffet or two cheap meals. I took some photos of some of the menus of the restaurants that I’ve seen in Chinatown to give you an idea of how much it costs and what type of foods they sell there.
Buffet Prices
Buffet prices vary from 1680–3480 yen. At least on 12/28/2020, they were giving out 20% coupons for some of the restaurants which is probably due to coronavirus. Business doesn’t seem that great compared to when I went here 8 years ago so some of the restaurants are starting to hand out coupons to get customers.
