Do you go to KFC to celebrate any holidays? Honestly, I enjoy KFC but it is not a place that I would think of going to on Christmas. However, in Japan, everybody thinks of KFC on Christmas.

Many Americans will celebrate this holiday at home with their families but Japanese people typically celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. The reason for this is mainly because there are not many Christians in Japan. Most of go on dates to view “illuminations”. This is a special English word that Japanese people made up to mean city lights. If you are in Tokyo, the most famous place to visit for illuminations is Roppongi Hills, Shiodome Caretta, Marunouchi and more! I will be writing an article in the near future of the most amazing illuminations in Japan that you need to see at least once in your life. An interesting thing is that Japan has 3 dating holidays which are valentines day, white day, and Christmas so if you thought being single in America was bad, it sucks 3 times as much in Japan.
